The Runaway tells the story of an unexpected fatherhood. The unemployed architect Walter runs into six-year-old Yuri, who claims to be Walter's son and demands that Walter take him to school. In order to clarify the situation and get Yuri off his back, Walter goes to find Kathrin, Yuri's mother, with whom he really did have a wild affair a few years back. However, Kathrin is nowhere to be found...
