In the 70’s, the “ichthys symbol” or "Jesus fish", an age-old Christian icon, reaches the epitome of distinction by becoming a ubiquitous car bumper attachment (the traditional Christian “ichthys symbol” usually contained the Greek acronym ἰχθύς, translating to "fish" in English). This is promptly rebuffed with the fittingly legged "Darwin fish" symbol. As you can see below, many other parodies ensue...
