The project
After one year of foundation, Amizade's project The Global Switchboard reached to a point that needed its own website. Some of the requirements included a Wordpress platform that could be easily updated and a blog space to spread the word on the work developed by its members.
Since the client had a small budget to build up a website from scratch, we commonly agreed that a ready made Wordpress theme would be an ideal option for the Switchboard. That way, a theme called UberGrid developed by PukkaThemes was picked up among numerous options due to its vertical layout and cleaness. Once purchased, the Switchboard team and I sat down to design icons, sections and spaces in a way that none information would be lost throughout navigation.
