Make Food Photos Better with Lightroom Mobile

As much as it might drive people crazy, I love to take pictures of my food. Of course, I have many clients in the food industry, but that's beside the point. I simply enjoy taking a photo of something I'm about to devour. But, one of the things that is challenging for food photography is getting the lighting and white balance correct. While sometimes you might want to set a mood with a certain color tone or white balance, food on a pure white plate often looks better.

In my crazy arsenal of iPhone editing apps, most offer auto white balance. But, Lightroom Mobile takes it a step further and allows you to select a custom white balance for your image. This is super helpful in food photography, as you'll see by my examples below.

Import the image into Lightroom Mobile then tap on the Basic menu and tap White Balance>Selector. Most of the time, I'll tap on the plate. But, you could use a white napkin as well.
