I was asked to take part of "BARTKIRA: NUCLEAR EDITION" a special print edition of BARTKIRA highlighting the massively destructive scenes of Akira, reinterpreted through the bug-eyed lens of The Simpsons.

I decided to redraw page 399 of Akira Vol. 6 and throw in a few springfiel landmarks thoughout the piece. I have to say that copying this drawing was one of the hardest things I've ever done. I made it a priority to be as faithful as possible to Otomo's original page, believe it or not mine has much less detail than Otomo's, haha.
