Title: Bourjois Belle
Project: Brand Activation at London Fashion Week..
Client: Borujois/MEC
Role: Game design, creative direction, web development.
Team: Simon Johnson, Rob Clayburn

I co-created this experiential campaign for Bourjois cosmetics as part of the Slingshot partnership, a mix of spot the Belle and a dog hunt.
Working with media agency MEC Global, Slingshot designed and delivered an experiential campaign to activate Bourjois' presence at the London Fashion Week.

Bourjois opened a pop-up boutique and TV studio deep in Shoreditch. The aim: to bring the brand closer to the urban hipsters of the East End, staying with it's young, value proposition but giving it some street cred.

Building on my track record of manhunts and dogs (see Moosehunt & Hounded), I was part of a team that implemented an OOH, experiential campaign, delivered via the brand's Facebook page. As well as co-creating the game, I designed the system architecture, configuring Slingshot's group messaging system (a world first - see Drom) the Mobile Social Game Engine MSGE.

Belle has arrived in London from Paris to attend London fashion week. She is accompanied by her dog, a splendid, clipped giant poodle. She is lost, who can find and help her? The campaign had two phases: between 12pm and 4pm, Belle was out and about on the streets of Shoreditch. The object to find and direct her to the Bourjois Boutique at Beach Blanket Babylon on Bethnal Green Road. In return participants received a discount voucher for cosmetics and make-overs at the Boutique. To help the participants in this quest a map showed Belle's current location on the Bourjois Facebook page. The alternating phase covered the hours outside of 12 to 4 and was a spot-the-Belle comp: guess where Belle would appear each day at 12pm. Participants could drop a pin on the map and post their guess to their feed on Facebook. The player closest each day won a sack of Bourjois goodies.

2009. Live data plotted to a Google map inside Facebook. Just sayin'.
