This client makes fishing baits. Specifically for catching Muskie. He came to me knowing pretty much what he wanted. The initial idea he presented to me was to have the stripes of the fish spell out the name.

Now, I knew that the client's idea would be to hard to read. So after doing a few sketches, I simplified the concept a bit. I streamlined the silhouette of a Tiger Muskie. After getting an appropriately fast looking fish, I then used the name to create both the silhouette of a Muskie and to represent the stripes of the fish.

I delivered both the gradated version above that mimics the coloring of the fish and the solid version seen below. This logo was hand-drawn and then recreated in Adobe Illustrator.
