As a fan of Kurt Vonnegut and book jacket design in general, I wanted to design a few jackets for some of my favorite books by him. The stories often are personal, full of human connection and meaning, which is one of many reasons I find them intriguing. Given the somewhat complex nature of his writings, I used a 1950's minimalist approach with typography and illustrations in an effort to communicate the essence of these stories in a manner that reduces them to the most basic and pure elements.
