As part of a researchgrant authored and proposed by yours truly, I set out to find the demographic breakdownof the design field, both in practice and academia. I was shocked by what Ifound and began to work towards educating minorities on career opportunities inthe industry. Along with volunteering and speaking at the UCO Minority FreshmanOrientation, I designed posters to peak the interest of young students whilespreading the word about my findings.
