Self Portraits: Identity

This series of images is to represent 4 aspects of my identity. I chose rather than to have one image to represent an aspect of my identity, I shot them as a series so as a whole they represent some of who I am.

I travelled around australia a lot as a kid and I feel most connected to the country, the beach and the mountains; anything but the city. I love to travel away from the city every chance I get. The aspects of nature and travel are represented through the natural landscapes and trees.

The use of photoshopped double exposures represents my personality, I am a shy person, not outgoing and hate having my photo taken.

Overall however, one of the most obvious aspects that identifies me is my love and passion for photography. I hope this can be seen through this body of work.

This series was undertaken as part of my BA photography studies at RMIT uni, Melbourne.
