2015 America the Beautiful

With the U.S. Mint running out of Silver American Eagles, a lot of people are turning to a less known coin from the U.S. Mint. The 2015 America the Beautiful coin is a staggering five ounces of .999 fine silver and three inches in diameter. A law in 2008 called America's Beautiful National Parks Quarter Dollar Coin Act allowed for the U.S. Mint to produce these silver coins as replicas of the 56 America the Beautiful Quarters that were minted starting in 2010. The face value of each five-ounce minted coin is $0.25. These are the first coins of this size ever produced by the U.S. Mint.

The 2015 America the Beautiful coins are going to depict national parks and sites in the order of their establishment in the fifty U.S. states and five U.S. territories. The U.S. Mint has been striking five new designs a year since 2010 and will continue the process until 2020. There will be a final coin design released in 2021.

Many people were excited about the America the Beautiful coin series. People are excited to see the new designs and are always remarking on how truly beautiful they are. Now imagine a five-ounce version, in silver, that's about the size of the palm of one's hand. It's a striking collectible coin that's a wonderful addition to any coin collection.

In 2010, the America the Beautiful series released a coin featuring the Hot Springs National Park in Arkansas. Wyoming was also featured with Yellowstone National Park.  Yosemite National Park was released for the state of California. A coin featuring the Grand Canyon was minted for Arizona. The final coin of the 2010 America the Beautiful series features Mt. Hood National Forest, the pride of Oregon. Capital Gold Group offers any or all of the 2010 America the Beautiful five- ounce coins.

For 2011, America the Beautiful featured coins representing Pennsylvania, Montana, Washington, Mississippi, and Oklahoma respectively. The 2011 America the Beautiful series proudly displayed images representing Gettysburg National Military Park, Glacier National Park, and Olympic National Park. They finished out the 2011 run by featuring Vicksburg National Military Park and Chickasaw National Recreation Area. Again, Capital Gold Group has access to the five-ounce America the Beautiful silver bullion coins

The America the Beautiful coin series continued in 2012, releasing another five new designs for the quarters and the five- ounce coins. Puerto Rico's El Yunque National Forest found a coveted spot on one of the silver coins. The 2012 America the Beautiful release also featured the Chaco Ravine of New Mexico. Designers depicted the Acadia National Park found in Maine and the Denali National Park and Reserve of Alaska.

Next, the 2013 America the Beautiful designers chose five new places to depict. For 2013, New Hampshire, Ohio, and Nevada were the first three on the list. New Hampshire's White Mountain National Forest, Ohio's Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial, as well as Nevada's Great Basin Park National Park's images, were flawlessly executed on the coins. Finally, Maryland and South Dakota were the final two selections for 2013. Fort McHenry was the obvious choice for Maryland, and Mount Rushmore was chosen for South Dakota. 2013 was a good year for the America the Beautiful designers.

The 2014 America the Beautiful series had a lot to live up to. The previous three years had produced some of the most beautiful U.S. coins ever minted. The states chosen for the 2014 America the Beautiful release were Tennessee, Virginia, Utah, Colorado, and Florida. The chosen representative places of each of these states were the Great Smokey Mountains National Park, Shenandoah National Park, Arches National Park, the Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve, and the Everglades National Park respectively. The 2014 America the Beautiful release hit the nail on the head with striking images, only fully appreciated when viewed in the five-ounce silver version.

Finally, we come to the 2015 America the Beautiful coins. The high quality and crisp images depicted on this year's coins did not let anyone down. Homestead National Monument of America was Nebraska's selection. The Kisatchie National Forest is the pride of Louisiana and their obvious choice. The Blue Ridge Parkway will be North Carolina's choice. Deleware's coin will feature the Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge. The last coin designed for 2015 America the Beautiful will be Saratoga National Historical Park in New York.

These beautiful depictions of America are obvious collector's items. The premium on each coin is low, so they're a popular choice for a Silver IRA or Precious Metals IRA. Investors are learning that the America the Beautiful coin affords them more precious metal for their money. There is a limited supply of these coins being minted, so don't miss out.
