Photoshop Portrait - David Choe

This is another older project from early 2014, made for a vector and raster files class. The project goal was to create a digital portrait, in Photoshop, of an artist of your choice, using visual elements that described the artist. I chose to do mine of renowned street artist, world traveler, and gambler David Choe. I used pieces of his work, as well as a few other key visual elements that describe his life. The bear seen on the state flag of California, a ventilator typically used by grafitti artists, a train, which references Choe's affinity for train hopping and years spent hitchhiking around the world, the logo for his Vice video series "Thumbs Up!", and the Facebook logo, which references his $200 million earnings made through Facebook stock shares he received as payment for his mural work in the original Facebook headquarters. I used a photo of grafitti I had as a texture overlay, and converted all the elements to black and white, and vectorized them or image traced them in Illustrator before bringing them into Photoshop.
I ended up with 2 color variations, seen above. These look slightly different than the final printed version, as the flash drive which had my final files on it was sadly stolen earlier on in 2015.
The final printed version, which as you can see, has a few slight adjustments and refinements compared to the digital copies.
