Week 5 Design Fundamentals

Here you see four greyscale thumbnails. Week 5 of Design Fundamentals is starting our final projects for the class. We were to create 4 thumbnails of designs to use for this project. We started in greyscale, just seeing what kind of design we wanted...
...and then we added colour to the design we liked best--four times. We had to label our colour schemes, so that's what you see here.
Below, you see extra colour work I did on my designs. I don't like complementary colour schemes, I think the colours clash, so the first thing I did was take the complementary scheme from above and make it warm, instead.
I thought of taking each of my four thumbnails and doing four colour schemes for them: Water, Earth, Fire, Air. But it turns out that for earth, I did neutral, water was cool, and fire was warm. There really wasn't room for air. I mean, what kind of colour scheme would I use for air aside from cool? I kind of wanted to do green analogous or monochromatic colour schemes, but ultimately, I think it's enough that I did three colour schemes for each of the thumbnails that I did not choose to be my final project... for now.
