Located in Newark, New Jersey this café was inspired by Giuseppe Terragni’s Follia Chair for Casa del Fascio in Como, Italy. The design of the project and material selections were influenced by the black lacquered wood and steel chrome plated springs of the chair. Thus, the idea of open and closed spaces with the use of frames was conceived.The frames are born from columns and span across and into the mezzanine,creating a continuous structure that also becomes furniture.
