PomieQ-Logo Design

PomieQ is a modern cheongsam startup brand, successfully funded on dreammore. 
The brief: simple, young, urban. The business will be expand to men fashion, kids cloth, and home decor.  
Target market: Chinese women in their early 20s to late 30s, independent, with a mindset of the globe, but also appreciate tradition.
Design-1
The idea
I think, the collar is the most iconic detail of a cheongsam (Qipao). So I want to address that.

The awarded mark
I had two versions for the client to pick. The client picked the 1st one, which is the one I prefer as well. I think it is more quiet in a way but also intriguing. One would want to listen to her, see what she has to say. So it would speak to the target market.
Design-2
The idea come from the Chinese character of pomegranate. Took part of the character and transform it to a pattern then remake the pattern into a geometric pomegranate that is elegant and urban. 
Personal favorite
I think this design has a lot of potential to play with: from patterns to color themes. It would allow the brand to truly develop its identity and expand into men's fashion, kids' clothing, lifestyle, high-street, etc when the brand is ready.
