Responsive Parallax Scrolling Website

Responsive Parallax Scrolling Website to inform and engage Teenagers on the area of Mental Health.

A recent report found that Irish youths may have higher rate of mental disorder than other country with over half the young people in Ireland suffering with mental health issues by the age of 24, yet our country is miles behind the rest of the world when it comes to dealing with this issue. It is only recently that our country has started to make some bit of progress with educating people about this issue yet they still haven’t looked at specifically targeting young people where the majority of mental issues first arise.

There are very few website out there to educate people on this issue and even less specifically for teenagers. The ones that are out there are dull, boring with noting to keep younger people engaged. This project is being created in the hope of filling that void.
For my final year project I created a website that tries to address these issues.

The website uses a parallax scrolling effect which creates an illusion of depth in a 2D scene. It is also responsive and adapts to whatever device it is been viewed on. The website is highly graphical in nature and features a number of interactive elements as well as using web analytics which enables us to track data from users to see how they engage with the site. The website was created in partnership with the Nenagh Éire Óg Healthy Club Project team to try and address and educate teenagers on the different areas of mental health and well-being.
