The Strange Case of Dr.Jekyll and Mr.Hyde

I wanted to create an object that could put forward the great values of printed books while embracing a story and therefore improving the reading experience. My idea about this project was to create a graphic object that involved light and shadow to discover. The notion of light and darkness in reference to the main character’s personality is a key feature of the novel and I find it fascinating. Using different materials and technics (such as screen printing for example) my goal was to be able to tell a story in a non-linear way. The idea is that the book itself becomes a part of the story as the reader has to interact with it to discover more. I was always wavering between traditional and contemporary solutions, between text and illustration, between abstraction and realism. In my opinion for this project, the object had to reflect the story and had to be part of it.
