Alex the Great inspired me through lyrics, beats, and his beautiful mind to help him recreate one of his original album covers. Model Alexis German and photographer Dametreus Ward supplied the materials and I took to Photoshop to create this work for his exquisite single, Evol World.

 

Project: Single album art for a talented and upcoming musician.

Execution: I took the photographs provided and chose the best one to fit a squared design. Alex's original drawing for Evol World was simple to follow in concept, though difficult in execution. The most critical difference between the original and this recreation are the objects encasing the subject's mouth. I found the metallic latch proved stressful, so I opted for a zipper-like mechanism that produced a devious tone around the image.
