Sex change

Winters suck in Oslo. Sure, the rest of Norway is drop dead gorgeous, but not Oslo. Sorry, but we have to be honest about this. It’s cold, wet, and the snow rarely settles. We all long for that beautiful day of summer, where the only right thing to do is to sit down by the fjord, at Aker Brygge, for that precious al fresco drink.

Enter Albertine Bistro. A mainstay on the boardwalk of Aker Brygge. She’s been there for ages catering to frozen vikings longing for summer. After years of al fresco moments Albertine went to rehab. In came a culturally superior version, now answering to the name of Albert Bistro, more capable of mixing Aker Brygge’s buzzing atmosphere and modern lifestyle with a traditional French bistro feel and ditto menu.

Visually speaking, a classic and mainly typographical identity underlines the gender change and new focus towards French dining. Its decorative and simple details and low key color palette match the surfaces and texture of interior elements within the Bistro itself.
