Wines of Portugal
A set of wine coasters featuring 12 of many native Portuguese grape vine varieties. Each of the hand-drawn and digitally enhanced illustration tell a story about the unique characteristics of each of the varieties. The composition consists of a bunch of grapes, a leaf, a sprout and the aromas typical for the wine made of this grape variety. There’s also a little map showing the areas where they most commonly exist.
The set of coasters is enclosed in a custom designed box that fits them all perfectly. We designed a simple packaging, printed with metallic copper ink that resembles the colour of cork (another one of Portuguese goods), which is the material used for the coaster’s base.
