Deconstruction and Graphic Design

Deconstruction and Graphic Design is a study of book design including the binding. This project studies the functions and criteria of grids and space division, understanding type, and how the content relates to the aesthetics of a document. Taking the content of a "Deconstruction of Graphic Design" written by Ellen Lupton into consideration, the typeface was to reflect the tone and the message. Besides the typeface, the type of paper and the decision of color and pattern follows the same suit of the essay. With this idea of design in relation to the work, the functionality of the book was a major component where the reader must be able to read smoothly without any noticeable visual flaws.
