The Design Museum of Thessaloniki remains without a building since 1998.

The poster was designed for the participation of Alex Esslin in the Greek graphic design and illustration awards EBGE 2008 where it won the first prize.

The rest of the project is a self initiated, imaginary campaign, designed under the concept that the museum is still homeless. Its aim would be to indicate a possible way for the museum to be present in the city of Thessaloniki even if it has no physical space.

This would be achieved by the museum's promotional material. The stationary will have a smart bar-code that would allow the viewer to visit the museum's website from his/her smart phone. A newspaper that will present the museum's collection will be periodically published. The objects will be printed in their original dimensions so the viewer can have the closest to a real exhibition experience. When an object is bigger than the A3 newspaper, then we can see a detail of it.

The designers, design agencies, design objects that appear in this initiative are not necessarily connected to the museum or are part of its collection. They where self-picked randomly to compile the museum's imaginary image.
