Fasada is a windows and doors specialty store in Burlington, Ontario. They originally found me after seeing my 'Come In We're Awesome' sign in the window of other shops, and contacted me through my Etsy store to have a custom neon pink version made to coordinate with their store colours. This lead to other work, photographed with more details below.
In addition to the items outlined in Fasada Part 1, I was also tasked with brainstorming a larger, more expensive item which could be given to customers who invested in a number of items from their store. Replacing doors and windows on a home is a costly venture, and most people want to be able to enjoy these new items after they've been installed.
I conceptualized a small cheeseboard, and designed a window illustration that was laser engraved onto some locally-sourced Baltic birch wood. Working with a woodworker less than an hour from where I live, these boards were cut, lasered, treated and ready for pickup in less than a week.
To provide care instructions and store information, I designed small hang tags in a rustic, hand drawn font, and designed the back of the card with shop location and store contact information. These were printed on recycled card stock, then punched and tied with hemp twine.
