Series Six - Additional Concept and DMP Work
The following concepts were created for Series Six, Ep 12 and depict the Cyberman ship and Cybermat.
I was asked to create some concepts for the Cybermat, with the focus on its ability to attack, jumping at its prey and clinging on using mechanical arms and circular saw like teeth. In the end, the production went for a design that was simpler to build, with more realistic, organic teeth.
This is a slightly simpler variant.
I was keen on using the cyberman logo and making the look match the Cybermen.
Cybernetic gils / portrusions that help the creature launch itself through the air.
This idea was intended to be more sinister and agressive in appearance.
DMP Development Work
Cybership - Crash Site Concepts

The aim of this concept, was to give a subterranean feel to the environment - a cave with elements that are recognisable as a crashed spaceship that is in a rather bad state (focussing on the door / entrance)
Gigantic engines that fill the scene and rear of the spaceship - close up detail
Alternative Concepts for the entrance to the ship. As the storyline developed the doorway became more important than the ship to an extent. The aim was to look like a way in to the ship, but one created by the Cybermen forcing their way out as opposed to a purpose built entrance.
Alternative environment leading to what to the ship.
Alternative concepts for the ship.
