The final project for Photography 1 demanded that we capture a social issue of personal importance. This series of images protests against marriage inequality and homophobia in three country's close to heart: the United States, the United Kingdom, and France. Gay men embrace each other while draped under these three flags. The state mottos were added in the developing process using a glass sheet and sharpie marker. The series is wrapped in the final photograph of two men kissing with the equal sign demanding marriage equality superimposed upon them, reminding us that the fight toward equality is beyond any national border.
