Skazki Rasskazki (Fairy Story-tales) is a new Russian fast food chain, opening restaurants in food courts in large shopping malls. The chain's identity is based around some most common Russian fairytale characters (like a princess with an apple depicted in the emblem) and supported by use of national decorative patterns and ornaments.
We created multiple logo modifications and versions for various uses.
Illustrations for the counter (by Yulia Melnikova) target children, that's why they were rendered in a friendly, slightly 'naive' style, at the same time resembling famous Palekh folk handicraft paintings. The illustrations feature most famous Russian fairy tale characters such as Ivan the Prince and Grey Wolf, three headed dragon Zmey Gorynych, Russian legendary hero Ilya Muromets, evil Baba Yaga, fire-bird and others.
