In 2013 I was lucky enough to be part of the Zombie Lunch project, an idea developed by the awesomely talented guys at We Are Pseudonym (now Metamob ) a graphic design and marketing company in Portsmouth. In their own words, they describe Zombie Lunch as:
I came in on a voluntary / profit share basis to help make some 3D models for the game, but also helped with various technical aspects surrounding unity 3D, and contributed to some of the design aspects of the game.
I was mainly responsible for creating the environments of the game, which were a new challenge to me, as the game was augmented reality based, so they had to fit in with almost any background imaginable!
We chose to keep them quite simple to really enhance the AR experience, but also to keep the frame rate high on the target devices iPad. Below Are some of the models I created.
After the levels were complete I also helped with some of the gun models, and the gun particle effects. Again performance on mobile devices was a concern, so it was an interesting challenge to create “juicy” effects without bringing the device to a standstill.
I really enjoyed being part of this project, it was a fun team to be part of and I learnt a lot about the world of mobile game development while doing it.
Thanks for looking!
