Art-direction, graphic design, writing, project and production management
The University of Washington's 150th anniversary is a milestone event in it's history. I was responsible for creating and making available communication tools that anyone on campus could use for assistance with public outreach. I uploaded the tools (graphics, copy, content) into a site design that I worked on with UW Marketing's Associate Director of Web Communications. I used Plone, our content-management system, and for some of the more graphic-oriented tools, tinkered with the HTML code when necessary. I wrote initial copy and I worked closely with our editorial team to make sure all copy was on-brand and written in a consistent voice.

I was also responsible for art-directing and managing production/installation of a large set of street light pole banners, which acknowledge and celebrate this once-in-a-lifetime event. The banners were designed to pique interest in the 150th anniversary, and they were installed on all three UW campuses (Seattle, Bothell, and Tacoma), as well as downtown Seattle. The banners hang during the duration of the 150th anniversary (from September 2011 through June 2012). A large banner installed on the Red Square chimney stacks and a large special event banner were also part of this project.
