Occupy Space is about bringing attention to the importance of space exploration in our current world. I wanted to create a strong social message without falling into an advertisement or campaign, but that could still stand alone as artwork. The message is fueled by addressing the topic in prior class work as well as current events such as the privatization of NASA and the Occupy Wall Street movement. Quotations from Physicists and other leaders in the field help show the importance of exploring far from planet Earth.
