Curious and in desperate search for an alternative to city life, I set off to a farm in North Carolina. There, I would volunteer: feeding hens, harvesting edibles, and experiencing the rural life-style, specifically the farmer's lifestyle. For 30 days, this would be tiny residence in the woods...
Little did I know that I'd learn more about life...and death...
...meet new friends
...but, again, I was volunteering on a farm, so that included lots of bugs and an abundance of nature
...and farming equipment, which seemed foreign in the beginning, but have evolved tremendously over time.
