What is the Lovlit Candle?
The Lovlit Candle is a beautiful new way for people to connect with the ones they love. We've combined the simple and symbolic gesture of lighting a candle with technology, allowing you to connect to other candles anywhere in the world.
There are many technologies that help us stay ‘in touch’ with our loves ones; from telephones, to emails, to social networks, and real-time video chats. But each of these technologies relies on words to communicate. Sometimes words alone can't reach as deep as what we want to say.
The Lovlit Candle offers a way for people express their love and support for others with a meaningful gesture that transcends words. It is for this reason that it works well in situations where words just don't seem appropriate, but you want to comfort a loved-one and show that you're there for them.
When you know a loved one is going through a tough time and you're not able to be there with them, it can be hard to let them know you care. Words escape us, flowers die, cards don't always capture our true feelings. But the warm glow of candlelight from the gentle touch of caring hands could quite literally light up their day.
How Does It Work?
The Lovlit Candle is easy to set-up and very easy to use. For set-up, all that is required is a WiFi router (for the internet connection) and our app (which can be used on a smartphone, tablet or a computer with WiFi). Our app guides you through the simple set-up process to enter the WiFi credentials and to choose who you want your candle connected to.
Once it has been set-up, anytime that the candle is held, after a few seconds, it will slowly begin to illuminate. As it continues to be held it will fully illuminate and start flickering like a candle. This let you know that it will now stay lit for hours. The longer the Lovlit Candle is held, the longer both your candle and the one it is connected to will stay lit.
The Lovlit Candle can be configured in two different ways. The first provides an exclusive connection to only one other candle and the second allows you to connect with any of your friends and family. Your Lovlit Candle can be configured using our app on either a smartphone, tablet, or computer.
