This is a small set of four illustrations made for being used in Jake Farley's Beachcoma music label as album covers for the following artists SwitchSt(d)ance, Deepfunk, Low Manuel & KNTRL.
The idea behind the images is to be a representation of four characters who inhabit near the sea in an unknown beach. Each character has something odd in themselves while they pose to the imaginary camera I hold in front of them. Each of them are accompanied as well by a sea dweller animal that interact with them in different ways.
The style is a reminiscence to classic renaissance engravings from XV and XVI centuries mixed with japanese ukiyo-e engravings. This intended style collides with some elements that wear or hold the characters which are out of date in order to make it all feel more unreal or dreamy.
