Sometimes I just like to do design work for fun and not because I am being paid. More often than not, I pick a site that I like which I feel could do with improving and see what I come up with. I hope you like my concept for EB Games Australia. Maybe they will roll with it and we will see a nice new site from them that better showcases prooducts.
Desktop Elements
Fixed top, left and right elements.
Top and left menu act as a two way highlighter for position and allow for easy jumping switching between product sections (such as new release, on sale) and the site sections (PS4 XBOX ONE).
The core part of the page has a full width header but under the header the page is 2 halves.
The left half features the product synopsis while the right side includes tabs for the videos, screenshots and reviews, allowing the visitor to always see the synopsis when viewing other parts of the product, such as the trailer.
Mobile Elements
The top menu goes into the top navbar with the home icon in the top left.
The left menu from the desktop goes into the foot navbar with the user profile icon allowing the user menu to be accessed at all times.
The core product information is presented first and then the user is given tabs to toggle between the various pieces of information for the product.
The users nearest store / assigned store from their account, is also displayed at the bottom of the page on mobile and it includes the time the store closes today or is next open.

Both menus could be toggled out at the same time to allow the user to jump directly between desired products and categories.

i.e. I am viewing New Release PS4 at the moment but by clicking on Coming Soon in the red menu and XBOX One in the right menu, I am then taken to the Coming Soon listing for XBOX One.

Sometimes I find that doing things for fun helps stimulate creativity in the jobs you are working on for clients so don't ever be afraid to experiment.
