First step was creating a cool vibrant background that wouldnt overpower the actual subject. I really like using CMYK in my work. Figured this might be a good opportunity. 

Next I played around with some effects that would look cool without being to bold. Some of the the color gets lost, but because this only a background and not the main focus I'm actually more partial to this. 

Next was adding the text and making sure I cose colors that didn't get lost with the BG. The red yellow and green stood out nicely and catches the eye. I was able to make the background sort of intereact with the text; which I thought was cool.

Final step was making the text match the style of the rest of the piece. Givning a sligiht 3D effect made it fit in nicely.
