Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc is one of my favorite wines. I know as a consumer and as someone with an education in wines what sets it apart. There’s a reason why it’s become so widely available so quickly. Many wine lovers know Kim Crawford for their consistency and focus on producing a pure, high quality grape rather than embellishing a mediocre wine. Because of this quality and simplicity, it’s the perfect wine for attracting drinkers new to the varietal and/or new to New Zealand viticulture. But it’s no low-brow beverage– indeed, the purity seems to be what makes it so sophisticated.
