In 2017 Norway will be switching over to digital radio.
Norway is the first country in the world to take this step, and Digital Radio Norway has the colossal task of assisting the 5 million Norwegians who will have to move to DAB+ radio with this transition.
The newly designed Radio.no asks the visitor 'How will you listen to DAB radio?', and then takes them through the process.
3rdfloor assisted in the conceptualisation and creation of the visual guide that will help people to change over to digital radio.
We created 6 main category icons and another 25 or so sub-categories.
We are now in phase two which is the creation of a series of animated instructional videos. These videos need to be clear and concise, convey complicated information in an easily accessible way, and be consistent with, yet distinctive from the icon design style.
Eventually there will be a video in each category to help explain how to convert to digital radio whether in your car, your house, on the go or in your cabin...
