It all began when we rescued a set of six chairs from a second-hand furniture store as a studio project. While refurbishing, we replaced their upholstery completely, but left the beautifully aged frames untouched. To us, some memories should never be completely erased. 
Referencing the "six degrees of separation" theory, we assume everyone in Singapore will know a Jason Tan within six (or less) connections. Collectively, we already have no less than 15 Jasons in our phonebooks.
 
Why the surname Tan? 

Because a quick search on the internet tells us it’s the most common Singaporean surname—at least since the year 2000.
