For an animation project I was to create a short narrative revolving around a specific character. The character was unique in the fact that they had to have an interesting combination of specific "Materiality", "Movement" and "Meaning".
My character is a personified treasure chest. The concept of being a chest represents its materiality, it moves like a rabbit or frog, hopping. Finally its meaning is that of a child. As seen in my short movie the child chest curiously explores his castle / dungeon environment and gets into trouble with the wrong crowd.
From this project I have learnt more about character and environment modelling, texturing, animation, camera usage and using sound to create a final clip.
