These are concept sketches for a series I'm working on entitled "Culture Heads".
I wanted to capture faces & symbols from iconic cultures, both ancient & contemporary, in huge illustrated collages.
I'm hoping to create larger, more polished versions of these sketches, but I felt these worked themselves as standalone pieces, even if still a little rough!
What I like about this concept is there are potentially hundreds of cultures to feature.
