Off to the races alongside COPS Racing Team and their brand new online presence.
COPS Racing Team is a premier off-road racing team that participates in the Baja 1000 and many other desert racing events. The team gets its name from its primary sponsor – the TV show COPS. After being active in the racing scene for two seasons, the team realized there was a big missed opportunity in not having a proper place to promote their endeavors online. That is when I joined the team to create a comprehensive suite of web marketing tools.
The process started with a brand new website that was created from the ground up to become the main communications hub for the team, crew, and all the fans. Videos, photo galleries, behind the scenes, interviews, team details, and race results – all come together to help die-hard and new fans alike enter the world of off-road racing. Taking advantage of all available communication channels, I have also developed and implemented custom Twitter and YouTube accounts, a Facebook app, a periodical email newsletter, and an external online store front.
There is a common visual style shared throughout all of these mediums and that helps establish the COPS Racing brand and give it a stand-out voice amongst all the other teams out there. The tone, just like the graphic elements, is loud, confident, and bold but, at the same time, friendly and approachable.
