Allied Irish Bank (AIB) is a financial services group operating predominantly in the Republic of Ireland and the UK. It provides a comprehensive range of services to personal, business and corporate customers in target markets and have leading market shares in banking products. The financial drop of 2008 put the bank in a real can of worms. During this time of adversity, AIB was approached by Wipro with a flexible approach of solutions that provided considerable aid to bank.
Concept: Japanese Warriors - Samurai
Method of Execution: A comic strip narrative treatment to depict the story
Rationale: I have used clans of samurai to represent the collaboration of AIB and Wipro.
The samurai used to assist the great lords, known as the daimyos, who struggled for power, backed up the authority of the shogun (a hereditary military governor in Japan) and gave him power over the Mikado or emperor. The samurai would form alliances to protect themselves from other clans. I have used this particular behavior to highlight the way Wipro helped AIB by providing a flexible approach. With their armor, weapons, standards of discipline and conduct, the samurai laid the foundations of Bushido, i.e. the ethical code. Similarly, Wipro with its unmatched dedication, perseverance and patience set the base and went on to bag the AIB account.
