Fake food made with found objects

'Don't we all just really try to fake it well' 

This was a workshop conducted at Ecole Intuit Lab. It was an attempt at understanding some of the principles that help make an illustration;
or even an illusion. Using consumerism, food and its 'foodness' as breaking ground the students were made to 'cook' up a recipe in their heads. They finally crafted a fake-but-real looking dish, using everyday materials and objects. Here's what they made.
Crumpled Cookies
Cookies - Websites - Web cookies - Cache - Paper Mache - Information - Chips - Choco Chips - the connected thoughts lead to the idea of creating chocolate cookies 
using newspapers through the paper mache technique. Newspapers like web cookies store a lot of information.

Thermocal, foam slices, tooth paste - glue icing are what make - the perfectly delicious looking Rainbow cake!
Spaghetti 'Wool'ognese
Strands of wool dipped in thick paint pesto sauce, with a dash of red rubber chillies and clay olives! 
Garnished with just a touch of paper basil leaves and oregano flakes!
