Concept, oversight, and media outreach for a low-budget direct action by the James Randi Educational Foundation to bring media attention to the false and damaging claims of phony TV psychic James Van Praagh. The action was undertaken entirely by volunteers and the video was shot under imperfect conditions with camera equipment the nonprofit had on hand.
Despite these technical challenges, the video of the event won stories by the Los Angeles Times, the OC Weekly, the Laguna Beach Patch, and the Huffington Post, as well as positive coverage by key community blogs.
