"Episodes by Helena Jonsdottir is a powerful performance that binds together different art forms: dancing, acting, visual arts, cinema and music. Episodes or TÍMAR (icelandic) was composed specifically for the fortieth anniversary of Iceland Dance Company (id.is/english) and was premiered in october 2013 in Reykjavík City Theater. Episodes is as global as it is Icelandic. It is a homage to every dancer in the world, as well as the world in every dancer. It portrays dancers who at all times wait in the shadow to be called on stage for their moment to shine. Moments of anticipation and triumph, doubts and success are woven together in beautiful stories, and brought to life in a new context."
