This personal project is an homage to the 1972 subway map designed by Massimo Vignelli who loved simplicity and uniform design. A mash-up, based on the current 2008 subway map, designed by Michael Hertz and 1972 map designed by Massimo Vignelli. Concept was to make a stylized map with only 45˚ & 90˚ angles and replace all Helvetica fonts with Trade Gothic Condensed No. 18 & No. 20. Read Less

This personal project is an homage to the 1972 subway map designed by Massimo Vignelli who loved simplicity and uniform design. A mash-up, based on the current 2008 subway map, designed by Michael Hertz and 1972 map designed by Massimo Vignelli.
