Setup shot - Large sheet of Blue Perspex on the floor, black polyboards all round to limit reflections (and some black fabric on the gantry above - could have used more!)  Large parabolic as key light top right of images, gridded softbox top left to add highlights, and gridded strip box bottom left to lift shadows slightly. 

Flo tubes aren't visible in this shot (sorry) but the exposure is based around them, all the flash powers are pretty low by comparison.

The shooting platform.  Directly above Cat and the perspex - D800 on a tripod arm, tethered to my laptop, and firing the flashes via the rather marvellous Air remote - ye gods I love being able to adjust flash powers from up in a gantry like this, rather than having to come down the ladder each time!  There's a magic arm clamping the tripod to the gantry, just in case I get over excited, start dancing around, and knock it off.  This was shot in a daylight studio, and there's only a thin layer of material between me and the skylight windows up there - it got bloody hot bloody quickly!
