TITLE:    Interactive Calendar: Build Engagement to attract new business
 
PROBLEM SOLVED/NEED:    A high impact new business promotion that will be kept on a desk so that the client’s services would be top of mind when catering services are needed. Need to have longevity and engagement.
 
DESCRIPTION:   A calendar that forms a triangle shape when the two base panels were interlocked. On one side there is a rotating panel that displays four food choices offered in a circular window. Further information about their service offering of catering, staffing, venues and certifications are on the base.
 
BENEFIT #1:   The calendar is useful, and visually pleasing which makes it likely to be kept on a desk. This significantly extends the longevity and visibility of the message.
 
BENEFIT #2:  The rotating disk makes it interactive, inviting prospective customers to check out the food choices on offer and to form an opinion. We heard many people changed the disk daily to show the food they most wanted. This kept Crunch’s catering services top of mind.
 
CLIENT:  Crunch Catering (on the grounds of Macquarie University)in Macquarie Park.
 
TARGET MARKET:  Events and office managers in businesses in the Industrial park and suburbs surrounding Crunch Catering, that is, Macquarie Park and North Ryde.
 
DELIVERY METHOD:  Handed out on sales calls or posted in a coloured envelope with an introductory letter.
 
QUANTITY :  1,000
 
CONTENT IDEAS: Product or services offered that are ALL desireable at different times. Beauty services: facial, eyebrow trim, massage, pedicure. Various flower arrangements. A selection of resorts in a chain, or adventurous activities at a resort: jet skiing, snorkeling, sunbathing, savouring a meal.  

PRODUCTION: Printed one side on coated stock with machine varnish. Die cut, rotating disk riveted in place, hand folding and insertion in an envelope with a letter. Paper and Pixel was responsible for the paper engineering, the design and project managing the production. Crunch catering wanted to showcase some  of their tasty food offerings. Putting the food choices on a rotating disk invited recipients to peruse and choose.

The rotating disk highlighting food choices available made the calendar interactive. this built engagement as recipients often went back to the calendar to change their selection for a different day. This added another dimension to change it from being a mundane reference tool.
