Dyer, Coatney, Acuña is a full service Oklahoma based law firm with over 60 years of combined experience between the partners. My objective was to create a brand that would communicate this longevity and exude boldness, confidence, power, and passion.
One of the challenges was to incorporate the names of each partner into the design of the logo. I chose to explore each partner's last initial in order to build a unique mark that would be personal and unequivocally theirs.
When the project first began, the firm consisted of four main partners. Therefore the initial completed designs utilized four names.
Soon after completion, the design was put to the test when one of the partners parted ways with the firm. Fortunately the adjustments to the design came naturally and did not sacrifice the established identity of the brand. Consequently, the change allowed for a better fitting of the mark and adjustments overall to solidify the brand with the remaining partners.
