An illustrated wall mural spanning 3 walls of a new EDF Energy visitor centre at West Burton, UK.

The brief was to capture examples of the diverse wildlife found around the West Burton site, including foxes, birds and newts. Each illustration was first created by hand and then digitally composed and coloured to make up the scene that was to wrap around the walls in the entrance to the visitor centre.

 

The mural was part of a larger project with Amalgam Modelmaking, to design a new look addition to EDF’s UK wide list of visitor centres. The centres are part of an initiative by EDF Energy to help inform and educate the public and local communities about using nuclear energy.
