The map of Nigeria which was my entry for a 99designs contest. I was very inspired to try this as I've never worked on something similar before. The aim was to be as creative as possible and to create unique and playful illustrations for as many nigerian states as possible, based on the mottos of each state. My illustrations didn't turn out as playful as they should've, but I certainly had fun making them. In making these illustrations I used imagery which I found characteristic for each state (certain landmarks, nature, monuments, life style, etc. ), as well as some purely metaphoric/symbolic imagery.
